Nevertheless, She Persisted
There are many days where my mind just gets heavy.
The sad thoughts don’t leave the forefront of my mind. Just as I feel the blanket of depression lifting, another memory or thought pops into my mind and I stuck back in to another cycle of sadness that just won’t quit.
Other days, my anxieties and worries are on repeat. I think of all the ways I am falling short or worry about how things won’t work out and question if I’ll be able to overcome the challenges in front of me.
With these two combined, I’ve had moments where it all just felt like too much.
I found myself not caring if I woke up the next day. Family or not, I figured they’d be fine to keep going without me.
The thing that saves me is reflecting on the thought that, “God woke me up here on earth today, so it must mean that he has a plan for me still.”
Nevertheless, I persist.
If anything, it has helped me grow closer to God. Not matter how much I try , I just can’t figure this out on my own.
When the challenges get too big, I strive to remind myself of one of my favorite verses, Philippians 4:13, “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.”
I can’t do this on my own, but I can do anything with Christ.
Sometimes, the battles we face are meant to draw us closer to Him.
The ways of the world will try to draw us further away; however, it is with Him that we are made stronger to face what is in front of us.
My encouragement for you today…share your worries and anxieties with Him. I was never meant to carry it alone….and neither are you.
